Gear List and Travel Details

Pick up and drop off to and from Edmonton International Airport ( YEG ) / travel day Hotel. Meals and accommodations during the days in which you will be travelling with Jake conducting trapping activities.

*For the duration of your adventure*. Insulated outerwear conducive to the environment you will be in during the course of your adventure (Sizing for boots, jackets, bottoms, mitts and headgear will be secured upon receipt of booking confirmation).

Please ensure that you let us know if you will need to buy cold weather clothing, outerwear and or footwear and we will accommodate you from this end. We can have appropriate clothing available for you to purchase when you arrive.


Please ensure you cover all relating details to your Solotrapper Adventure booking well in advance of the dates you are booking!

Not included in your fees:

  • Fur shipping fees.
  • Hotel and meal accommodations outside of your travel days to and from Edmonton.
  • Flights to and from Edmonton.
  • Gratuities and alcoholic beverages.

  • It is your responsibility to make sure you will not be refused entry into Canada.
Firearms Declaration Form
  • You will need a firearms declaration form to clear your rifle through customs.
  • You can complete the online form or download it here: Non-Resident Firearm Declaration.

Please fill out form in triplicate but do not sign until you are with a Canadian customs agent.

Dietary and disability Needs

Please let us know when you are booking your adventure so that arrangements can be made to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. Diet, mobility and environmental accommodations can then be looked after in advance of your arrival.

  • Hunting rifle.
  • Medium weight sleeping bag with pillow
  • Your choice of clothing (warm jacket, warm socks, and warm sweaters, along with some lighter wear).
  • One pair of winter boots, one pair of comfortable hikers or sneakers , and a pair of indoor slippers or loafers.
  • Wool socks and several pairs of regular socks
  • 2 pairs of warm underwear. One heavier and one lighter.
  • Good insulated cold weather outerwear. Rated -25 Fahrenheit / -30 Celsius
  • Warm head gear and gloves also rated too with stand the above listed temperatures.
  • a good camera or video camera with spare batteries
  • Towel and face cloth
  • Daypack
  • Personal toiletries and medication
  • Dry bags (bring fur home)
